Digital menus for restaurants

Nobody orders
what they can't picture.

Crave turns your menu into something guests can actually see. They scan the code on the table, browse real photos of every dish, and order right from their phone — no app, no download, no printing costs, and no commission on a single order.

The problem

Your menu is the only part of the restaurant nobody designed.

You spent months on the room, the lighting, the plating. Then the guest picks up a laminated sheet of text — or worse, a PDF that opens at 4% zoom — and orders the one thing on it they recognise.

Today Paper & PDF menus

  • Guests default to the safe, familiar, usually cheapest dish.
  • Servers answer "what does that look like?" forty times a shift.
  • Every price change means a reprint and a week of waiting.
  • Allergen and dietary questions slow down every table.
  • Your best-margin dishes are invisible in a wall of text.

With Crave A menu people look at

  • Every dish has a photo, so guests order what they actually want.
  • Ingredients, allergens and spice level answer themselves.
  • 86 an item from your phone and it's gone from every table instantly.
  • Feature the dish you want to sell, right at the top.
  • Guests order from their phone — you keep every cent of it.
What's inside

Everything a menu should have done all along.

Photo-first, always

Every item leads with a real photo of the plate as it leaves your pass. Upload from a phone — Crave crops, compresses and colour-corrects automatically.

One QR per table

Print it once. The code never changes, even when the menu does. Works in any phone camera — no app, no sign-in, no data harvesting.

Allergens & diets built in

Tag once and guests filter for themselves — vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, halal. Fewer questions for your servers, fewer mistakes in the kitchen.

Order from the table

Guests build their order on their own phone — add-ons, allergy notes, pickup or dine-in — and send it to the kitchen. No commission, ever. Turn it off if you'd rather they just look.

Instant 86'ing

Sold out of the halibut? Two taps from the host stand and it's greyed out on every table, in every language, in under a second.

Twelve languages

Menus translate on the fly and remember the guest's phone language. Tourists stop pointing hopefully and start ordering confidently.

Guests at a restaurant table
The menu is the first thing they pick up. It may as well be the best-looking thing on the table.
How it works

Live by dinner service.

1

Send us your current menu

A photo of the paper menu, a PDF, a link — anything. We build the first version for you and send it back to review.

2

Add the photos

Shoot dishes on a phone during prep. Crave handles cropping, lighting and file size. No photographer, no light box, no styling degree.

3

Print the code, and that's it

Put the QR on tables, windows, takeaway bags. Change prices, 86 items, add specials from your phone — the code stays the same forever.

The difference

"Hilachas, pollo en crema" versus this.

No app store, no guest sign-up, no per-order commission.
A guest decides what to order in about the time it takes to read four lines of text. Crave exists because that decision should be made looking at the food, not guessing at it.

Questions

The things owners ask first.

No. The QR code opens a web page in whatever browser their phone already has. It loads in about a second on a bad restaurant Wi-Fi connection, and there's no sign-up, no account, and no tracking of the guest.

It's the most common starting point. A modern phone near a window is genuinely enough — Crave handles cropping, compression and colour. Start with your ten best-selling dishes and add the rest over a few weeks. Partial photos still beat none.

Not your POS. Crave is the menu and the order — guests browse, choose and send their order to the kitchen from their own phone. Payment still runs through whatever you already use, at the table or the counter, so nothing about your till changes.

Both. They can browse and flag down a server the old way, or build an order on their phone — add-ons, allergy notes and all — and send it straight to the kitchen. You decide which mode is on. Ordering is included at no extra cost, and Crave never takes a cut of the order.

Send us your current menu and we'll build the first version for you. Adding photos is the part that takes your time — you can go live with your best-selling dishes and fill in the rest as you shoot them.

You edit it on your phone and every table sees the change immediately. The QR code never changes, so nothing needs reprinting — that's the whole point.

Most places do, at least at first. Crave tends to become the menu people actually reach for, but there's no requirement to throw anything away.
